Dongfeng Motors Showcases Electric Vehicle Lineup at SIEW 2025

Dongfeng Motors showcased its electric vehicle lineup at the Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) 2025, with distributor Volt Auto serving as the event’s Official Car Sponsor. The brand’s presence at this energy-focused conference strengthened its expansion in Singapore’s fast-growing EV market.

Singapore’s EV demand has risen steadily due to government policies, especially the Singapore Green Plan 2030. This plan requires that all new car registrations shift toward cleaner-energy models by 2030. As a result, consumer interest in electric vehicles continues to grow. However, adoption still depends on common factors such as pricing, charging availability, and driving range.

Dongfeng officially entered Singapore in Q4 2024 with the launch of the Dongfeng Box electric hatchback. Since then, the company has broadened its lineup with models designed to meet different performance and lifestyle needs.

Dongfeng Vigo

The Dongfeng Vigo is a fully electric crossover SUV, also known in other markets as the Nammi 06. It combines style, practicality, and modern technology in a compact form.

Its bold exterior design features sharp LED lighting and a confident, upright stance. The Vigo also stands out with its “Heaven and Earth” dual-section tailgate. This split design allows easier loading and unloading in narrow city spaces, a practical touch that caught the attention of event visitors.

Under the hood, the Vigo is powered by a motor producing about 120 kW (161 bhp). Battery options go up to approximately 52 kWh, offering a competitive CLTC range of over 470 km. Inside, the vehicle focuses on comfort and usability. It includes a 12.8-inch central screen, supportive seating, and available heated and ventilated driver’s seats. Safety is also a priority, with Level 2 ADAS features included to support everyday driving.

Dongfeng 007

The Dongfeng 007, an electric liftback sedan, made its public appearance just one week before SIEW 2025. It attracted significant interest due to its performance-focused engineering and long-range capability. The model boasts a claimed CLTC range between 600 km and 1,200 km, depending on the configuration.

Also called the Dongfeng eπ 007, this sedan is positioned in the premium EV segment. Built on the Quantum architecture platform, it offers a dual-motor AWD variant that accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.9 seconds. Its 400 kW (540 hp) output places it among the strongest performers in its class.

Efficiency also plays a key role in the 007’s design. With a drag coefficient of just 0.209 Cd, the vehicle maximizes aerodynamic performance. Battery options include a long-range configuration of around 540 km, a single-motor RWD version capable of up to 620 km, and an EREV variant offering a combined range of 1,200 km.

Inside, the 007 features an advanced SOA Intelligent Cockpit powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. The layout includes a 15.6-inch central display and a flip-style 8.8-inch digital instrument panel. The exterior showcases frameless doors, a sleek aerodynamic shape, and an active electric rear spoiler. L2+ ADAS functions further enhance safety and convenience. Overall, the 007 reinforces Dongfeng’s presence in the competitive premium electric sedan segment.

Charging Infrastructure

Volt Auto has partnered with Charge+, the operator of Singapore’s largest EV charging network. Under this program, new Dongfeng Box owners receive three years of charging credits, amounting to up to 6,000 kWh usable across Charge+ stations in Singapore and Malaysia.

Charge+ is also working on a regional EV charging corridor that will span 5,000 kilometres, connecting Singapore to Hanoi. Such efforts are essential as charging accessibility remains a key factor influencing EV adoption. In Singapore, Volt Auto oversees Dongfeng’s sales, distribution, and after-sales support, including service centres and retail facilities.
